In order to better serve my clients and community during the COVID-19 pandemic, I am pleased to announce that I am now offering group online childbirth education classes live! I continue to offer private online classes as well.

It is a strange time that we are currently living in with many unknowns…

~Do I have to be tested for COVID-19? Does my support person? My baby?

~What if I’m positive?

You should be informed of your rights, and how you can best be supported during your labor and delivery.

Services

Labor & Delivery

Attendance available for hospital, birth center, or home birth. On call to you from 36 weeks up to and through delivery. Continuous support for laboring mom and her primary support person. Support at home until you are ready to transition to hospital. Alternative methods of pain relief including, but not limited to: position changes, massage, birth ball, and breathing techniques.

Childbirth Education

6 week childbirth education classes. Topics include: anatomy of pregnancy, basic terminology, nutrition and exercise, stages of labor, comfort measures, labor support, interventions, newborn procedures and care, breastfeeding, and postpartum adjustment. Private classes and availability upon request.

Breastfeeding & Postpartum

Skin to skin time immediately following delivery. Assistance with breastfeeding including real-time instruction about latch and positioning. Instruction of basic newborn care. In home visit 3-5 days after delivery, and again at 2-3 weeks after delivery. Access to educational resources. Referrals can be made if necessary.
